A ring conversion, made from a Victorian stick pin, in 9ct gold. The sunburst is an ancient pagan symbol, generally meaning life everlasting. The traditional symbolism of the sun often relates directly to the ways it makes us feel. It is a symbol of vitality, passion, energy, and "rebirth". The sun heralds the dawning of a new day, every day. 
 
It's a beautiful reminder to start anew, recalibrate. A message to ourselves to shake off the crap from this chapter and step, cleansed, into a new one. Seems quite apt for right now!
 
The band is new, made from recycled 9ct gold, in an inverted D shape, so the inside is smooth and comfortable to wear, and the outer edges are squared off. The centre of the sun is a faceted dome shape, outlined by a fine milgraine border, then a scalloped edge with 4 finials, all surrounded by little rays of pure gold sunshine.
