It could be said that I was destined to work with antiques -

Both of my parents are collectors, and from an early age, my fondest memories involved delving amongst treasures in antique shops across Australia.

  On moving to the UK to further my career in fashion, I fell into a whole new Wonderland of antiques, and this, combined with sewing for as long as I can remember, set me up nicely to start SONA.

​

My passion and inspiration is historical beauty - the elegance of the Edwardian times, the softness and grace of the Pre-Raphaelites, the bold sass of Art Deco, the romance and splendour of Victorian times, and in fact, all bygone eras.

  My mission is to bring the beauty and style they evoke back into todays modern world. The result is my brand, SONA: Handmade, one of a kind pieces featuring antique treasures and whimsical elements.

Alongside my own creations, I have a selection of original vintage and antique pieces in the collection, and also offer a bespoke service, so any item can be customised or created especially for You.

  Each piece is unique, and influenced by my love for crowns, birds, Queen Victoria and her sentimentality, gold and silver, pearls and gemstones, handwork, love tokens, lace and silk, moons and stars, faeries, and the beauty in nature and the world around us.
