Truly one of a kind, these earrings have been converted from the cock balance of a Georgian clock, circa 1830. They are fitted with original stones (diamond, ruby, opal) and an aquamarine which has been added.

The cut work on these is amazing, so much fine detail - if you look closely, one shows the face of a gargoyle, and the other an urn, both with beautiful swirling floral patterns. The cock balances are gilded metal. They swing delicately from a short stem of Victorian cut steel gilded beads and a pearl. The studs and scrolls are 9ct gold.
