This single sterling Victorian crescent moon earring just feels like absolute magic to me. 
 
It is made with either vulcanite or gutta percha, (it's hard to tell exactly which one!) which allows it to be as dark as the night sky. Juxtaposed with this Edwardian gold plate tassle, there's so much history and mystery of these bygone eras, brought together to create something magical. 
 
Wear on its own, or pair with another single earring to create your own pair, I think it would look particularly great with the filigree peacock earring in the last picture above.
