A Mismatched pair of chandelier earrings, with a sublime combination of gemstones : Opal, Pearl, garnet, aquamarine and amethyst, threaded together with gilded Victorian cut steel beads. The studs and scrolls are 9ct gold, the vintage ornate brass pressing is modelled on an Art Nouveau design, and is plated in 18ct hard gold. The delicate flower with seed pearl centre (on each side) is Victorian, 9ct gold. The ivy leaf drop is 1950s, 18ct hard gold plated. The star cap on the larger pearl is circa 1940. These earrings have a delicate whimsical feel to them, and although mismatched, they balance each other perfectly.
