An original and versatile piece with character! The chain is Circa 1920s, rolled gold, in a flattened curb link, with an Albert clip at each end, enabling it to be worn as a classic necklace on its own, or linked in to the cut steel pendant , either portrait or landscape style. 
The cut steel pendant dates to around 1880, and features 3 bold stars within an elongated oval surround. 
I especially love the combination of the soft yellow gold chain and the gunmetal tone of the cut steel ❤️
