This 9ct rose gold conversion ring made from an Edwardian hatpin has a mother of pearl and ruby setting. The rose gold creates a beautiful star shape, and the red stone in the centre is literally the cherry on top. This one reminds me of a Bakewell tart!

Rubies are said to be symbol of love and commitment. It was once thought to protect against misfortune and illness.

It is believed that mother-of-pearl shell offers soothing, motherly protection from negative energy and love.
